Case Study
Project specifications
The client desired a seamless transition from their interior to exterior space with a natural colour. This was a Coffey Architect design side extension which won the RIBA Under 300k Refurb Award. The project involved a 60 sqm kitchen area with a 20 sqm outside patio area. We conducted on-site colour correction to ensure the perfect shade, preparing the surface meticulously and using high-quality materials for mixing and pouring the concrete. The internal concrete was 100mm thick, installed on wet underfloor heating (UFH), while the outside was 150mm thick on the existing concrete floor. Our team ensured an even layer and paid special attention to transition points, finishing with polishing and sealing for durability and easy maintenance.
The result was a beautiful, seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas, with a natural colour that complemented both spaces. Our expertise ensured the project’s success, creating a cohesive and appealing environment.
